Home Remodels
Remodels & additions
Today’s market is full of pre-loved homes, and a driving factor is location. If the address is right and the layout isn’t, that’s a fixable problem.
The question we hear
“I love my house, but it needs some changes. Can you help?”
Absolutely. As life evolves, we know that rearranging your home can be an ideal solution. We can help you take that diamond in the rough and turn it into a gem of a house that you’ll be proud to call home.
The process is simple. We come out and see the project as it exists today, and discuss the form and function you’re wanting to create. Our next step is designing those changes in a preliminary set of plans that you can look over and alter until you’re satisfied with each detail.
In the end, you have a clear set of plans to present to builders and financial institutions to complete your vision.
What we’re usually asked to draw
The changes that come up most
- Opening a closed-off kitchen into the living area
- Master suite additions and bathroom reconfigurations
- Room additions off the back or side of the house
- Converting a garage into living space — and replacing the garage
- Adding a second storey or a bonus room above the garage
- Covered porches, patios, and outdoor living areas
- Reworking a floor plan for aging in place, or single-level living
- Rebuilding and updating after storm or fire damage
If what you have in mind isn’t on this list, it almost certainly still fits. Come talk it through.
One thing worth knowing
We start by measuring what’s actually there
Existing houses are rarely built exactly the way their original plans said, and remodels go badly when the drawings assume otherwise. We come to the house and measure it as it stands before we draw a single new wall.
That’s the difference between a set of plans a builder can price with confidence and a set that produces surprises halfway through.
